The World Partnerships Forum is designed to engage participation
and action in the global effort to advance the partnership
approach to sustainable development. The Forum is the natural
‘in-person’ complement to the online services
delivered via Partnerships Central, and it seeks to extend
aware-ness beyond public authorities to influence the actions
of all actors who have an impact on sustain-able development,
including governments, businesses, local authorities, civil
society, trade unions, and, importantly, the public at large.
The themes for the first Forum are to raise
the exposure of sustainable development commitments and targets,
champion the use of partnerships as a valuable mechanism for
achieving sustainable development, and strengthen their capacity
to achieve. The Forum will explore issues affecting key stakeholders
and engage partnerships from all over the world. The Forum
will also include expert panel discussions among representatives
from governments, UN agencies, donors, and development banks.
In the run up to the Forum will be a series
of online discussions and debates. During the conference,
a specially-designed website will provide interaction between
speakers and delegates at the confer-ence and the wider community
involved in partnerships but unable to attend.

and when it becomes available, please join
